Apart from the early places of works of the "master Bonsac" in
Maulbronn and Magdeburg
there are six settlements with namesakes in Germany from the Middle Ages until today.
1. The first settlement ,already in the time of Henry II., named the Lion, proved through documents, is
Mecklenburg.
2. Only a short time later we find the namesakes in
Schleswig-Holstein,
especially in Hamburg, Lübeck and Bremen.
3. In the same way we must mention the place of settlement in and around
Celle.
Celle could be the starting point for the migration to Mecklenburg
4. The fourth place of settlement is lying around the
valley of the Leine (Leinetal) up to Duderstadt
5. Probably also in this historical order we find the namesakes in the 16th century in a small part of
Thüringen,
especially around Waltershausen and Gotha.
6. In addition there is still - already from that 15. Century - a settlement in and around the place
Bohnsack nearby from Danzig (today Gdansk) in Poland.
Around the whole World there are any Bo(h)nsac(k) places in
France and the USA
We'll describe these six settlements in detail on the next pages.
